Veteran Nollywood actor, Richard Mofe-Damijo, wey many sabi as RMD, don talk say e no too dey comfortable as people dey call am “legend”.

As e yan for one interview, di 63-year-old actor say to call person “legend” dey somehow, because e dey sound like say di person don pass him prime or e dey near retirement.

According to RMD, di kind actors wey deserve dat title na real OGs like Olu Jacobs and Pete Edochie, wey don really contribute to di growth of Nollywood.

“I think all those legend talk na scam. I get people wey I dey look up to – uncle Olu Jacobs, uncle Pete – dem na real legends, our ancestors for this acting business,” RMD talk.

E still yan say when people dey call am legend, e be like dem wan put am for shelf join retired actors.

“I still remember when uncle Pete dey do advert dey talk say ‘Ribena children are healthy children’ – I still dey watch am that time!

So I no dey buy that ‘legend’ title at all. For me, na way to push person go one corner like say e don expire or suppose retire. I still dey hot jor!”
